Mussoorie
Mussoorie, the queen of the hills, is one of the most popular and fascinating hill resort of northern India. Its green hills and varied fauna and flora make it a colourful and picturesque hill station, commanding a wonderful view of extensive Himalayan snow ranges to the North-East, and Panoramic view of the Doon valley to the south.
Haridwar
Haridwar (also known as Haridwar) is a holy city in the state of Uttarakhand in northern India. Known as the Gateway to the Gods, Haridwar is considered one of the seven holiest places according to Hindus, as the devas are said to have left their footprints there. Here pilgrims float diyas on the Ganges, to commemorate their deceased ancestors. The city also stands as a gateway to three other important pilgrimage destinations: Rishikesh, Badrinath, and Kedarnath. In Haridwar you will see a great statue of Shiva at the fork of the river.
Rishikesh
Rishikesh is yet another centre of pilgrimage and tourist attraction for Indians as well as foreigners. Rishikesh is popularly known as the Yoga Capital of the World. Rishikesh is 28 kms from Haridwar on way to Badrinath and is situated at the foothills on either side of holy river Ganga and is surrounded by Shivalik ranges from three sides Rishikesh complex consists of three distinct areas, known as Rishikesh, Muni-ki-Reti and Swargashram.
Lansdowne
Lansdowne is a Military station developed by the Britishers, which is catering for the Recruits Training center of the Garhwal Rifles. The war memorial at the Parade Ground of the Garhwal Rifles Center is an attraction for the visitors. Area of the city is about 6.09 sq. km. Total population as per 1991 census is 7,106 with 4,415 male populations and 2,691 female population. The literacy percentage of the city is 89.58. The climate of the city is pleasant in summer, very cold in winter.
Dhanaulti
Dhanaulti is fast emerging as a gem among the major travel destination in Uttarakhand, on Mussoorie-Chamba road at 2250 m above sea level. It comes as a pleasant surprise for the weekend enthusiastic travelers who find it more peaceful more relaxing and serene. It’s a different experience altogether.
Chamba
Chamba is an unexplored, untouched, serene destination located at an altitude of 1676 m, 60 km from Mussoorie, in the Tehri district of Uttarakhand. An unspoilt territory and covered with lots of pine and deodar trees, Chamba offers a never explored interlude. Unlike Mussoorie, the place is very quiet, serene and offers picturesque beauty and is an excellent place to relax and fun and drive away the city blues.
Auli
Auli, 8 km from Joshimath is an ideal winter resort run by Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN). A 3 km long slope ranging from a height of 2519 to 3049 m is a major attraction. The Auli resort run by GMVN has snow beaters which beat the snow to keep the slopes fit for skiing at all times. A 500 m long ski-lift carries skiers back to the slope top, thus saving them the trouble and time to bridge up wearing long skis.
Pauri
Pauri is Panoramic Pauperched at an altitude of 1830 meters on the northern slopes of Kandoliya hills. The peaceful resort affords a fine view of the snow Himalayan peaks.
Chopta
Chopta is situated at Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand State, also known as mini Switzerland of India. Chopta is located at 2,800mts above sea level, surrounded by the dense forest. Chopta provides majestic view of snow capped Himalaya’s major peaks Nanda Devi, Chukhamba and Trishul. This place is very rich for flora and fauna.
Chakrata
Chakrata, the previous name was Jaunsar Bawar is situated at the elevation of 5500-6500 feet from the sea level in Dehradun district, the capital of Uttarakhand state. Chakrata is 92 km away from Dehradun and 73 km from Mussoorie in the Garhwal region of state between the Yamuna and Tons River. It was originally a cantonment of British Indian Army.
Ukhimath
This is a winter seat of Lord Krishna, and worship is done here is during the winter when the temple of Kadarnath remains closed. The temple of Usha and Anniruddha, Shiva and Parvati are worth visiting. Ukhimath is situated on Guptkashi Gopeshwar motor road. It is at a distance of 1.2 kms. from the district headqaurter of Rudraprayag at an elevation of 1311 mts. Ukhimath is connected by direct bus service with Rudraprayag Gaurikund, Guptkashi & Srinagar. From Ukhimath on a clear day one can see the beautiful view of Kedarnath peak, Chaukhamba & other green beautiful valley.
Harsil

Joshimath
Adi Guru Sankaracharya, who came all the way from Kerala in the 8th century A.D., performed penance under a tree and after attaining enlightenment, established a Math, (religious center), known as 'Jyotirmath'. The name Joshimath is derived from it. Temples of Narsingh Dev and Nav Durga is located here. Of special scenic interest are orchards of apple, apricots, lemons and maltas spread all over. Badrinath is just 44 km. from here. Joshimath is also Gatway of Badrinath.
